“I opened up to you and you judged me”
The Insider
When a wolf is losing the fight against another wolf, and understands that he no longer has a chance of winning, the losing wolf gently shows its neck to the opponent, as if saying “I lost” However, at that moment, The winning wolf, inexplicably, freezes.A millenary force prevents him from killing the one who, from humility, recognizes defeat. Some primary mechanism, embedded in the DNA or beyond it, is triggered in the winning wolf and reminds him that the species is more important, than the pleasure of eliminating the opponent. Nobody would call the wolf who surrenders a coward, or commiserate the one who is paralyzed, simply this happens. Neither winner nor vanquished. Both wolves drift away and the wheel of life continues.
